4.8.05 - Acorns Volume 1 Almost Done

Last week, we sent out Black Squirrel Records' first compilation disc, titled Acorns Volume 1, to be pressed. We've been receiving pre-release orders for awhile and in order to secure your copy, please send an email to Evan. A tracklisting will appear online shortly. The CD will be available for $6.25 in the HC Bookstore, $5.00 in person/pre-ordered, and $10.99 online in the Black Squirrel Records Online Store - Evan
 

3.26.05 - Recording Day

Today we're heading into the studio with five or six bands to get some tracks laid down for the compilation. With a little guidance from studio engineer guru Chris Kingsley we're getting some more practice running the equipment and learning about how to set up sessions for very different bands (acoustic delta blues duos / punk bands / new age electronica / girl & her guitar). Hopefully we'll get this bad boy mastered in time for its scheduled May release date. - Jim & Evan
 

3.24.05 - Site Launched

The BSR site is up and running. Check out the events page periodically to find out about upcoming shows involving BSR artists. The main project we've currently got our sights set on is putting out a CD compilation of BSR artists that we'll put on sale at Haverfest in the beginning of May.
